What is THCv?

THCV stands for tetrahydrocannabivarin, which is a naturally occurring cannabinoid found in cannabis plants. Like THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), CBD (cannabidiol), and other cannabinoids, THCV interacts with the endocannabinoid system in the human body, though its effects and mechanisms of action may differ.
THCV is structurally similar to THC but has a slightly different molecular arrangement, resulting in potentially different effects on the body. While THC is well-known for its psychoactive properties and tendency to induce feelings of euphoria or "high," THCV is believed to have a more complex pharmacology.
Research suggests that THCV may have a variety of potential effects. THCV may modulate the psychoactive effects of THC, potentially reducing its intensity or duration. This could have implications for managing the side effects of THC.
